Microdermabrasion

Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal has become one of the most popular methods of reducing unwanted body hair, with many men and women alike choosing laser procedures over waxing and other hair removal methods. The first step in the process is to get a free consultation at Northwestern Institute of Cosmetic Surgery to identify which skin type you have and find out whether laser hair removal is something which is well suited to your needs and have any questions you may have answered by our medical esthetician. If you’re a good candidate for the laser hair removal, then you can usually go ahead and schedule the procedure; or in some cases, even have it performed right away. Some facilities will offer a demonstration of the procedure so you can find out what the procedure will feel like and how your skin will deal with the laser hair removal treatment.
The number of treatments in most areas requires 3-6 treatments. However, the number of Laser hair removal treatments required for optimal long-term benefits depends on multiple factors—hair thickness, the area treated and your hair’s growth cycle. Not all hairs are actively growing at the same time and actually go through three distinct phases: growth, regression, and resting. Laser hair removal treatments work by disabling the hair that is principally in the active growth phase at the time of treatment. Since other hairs will enter this active growth phase at different times, additional treatments may be necessary to disable all of the hair follicles in a given area.
After treatment, the treated area may be red or swollen. Three to seven days after treatment you may experience what seems to be regrowth of hair. Most of these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment and are not regrowing. Between treatments you should not wax or pluck your hair, but it is permissible to shave.

Skin Peels are designed to accelerate the removal of old dead skin cells at the surface of the skin to promote new cell growth. Chemical peels can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and scarring.

Lactic 15% – This product offers exfoliating and moisture retention properties and promotes softer, smoother skin, as well as the improvements in the appearance of fine lines. The addition of bilberry, blueberry, and mulberry bring a healthy glow to all complexions. Recommended to treat dry, aging and sun damaged skin.
Glycolic 30/60%- A chemical exfoliant to promote the repair and regeneration of skin. This peel improves the appearance of aging skin, uneven texture and tone. Recommended for oily, acne, congested, and uneven skin tone.
Salicylic 30% – A medium exfoliation that deeply purifies pores and aids in skin rejuvination. Powerful antioxidants provide anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial ingredients. Ideal for oily and acneic skin.
Modified Jessner 14% – A synergy of effective acids to help reduce the appearance of melasma, freckles, acne and mild cases of rosacea. Recommended for dry, combination, aging and uneven skin tone.
